Can't talk about the food experience in person (perhaps it's much better), but absolutely do not order from this restaurant via skip. They didn't provide the breakfast poutine that was ordered, the burger was almost charred black & that eggs benedict is the saddest I have ever seen. It all tasted terrible. Disappointed considering this restaurant is rated so highly on google.View more
Tried to come a few weeks ago, line up out the door indicated that we needed to try at a later date. Arrived this morning & had a fantastic breakfast, served by friendly & attentive staff. Large, healthy portions. Definitely a place we will return to. Koodos & happy new year to all!View more

My wife & I absolutely love this joint! She's been going for months with her girlfriends & I joined her recently. Great atmosphere & really nice staff. They aren't all up jn your face the whole time, & are very easy to flag down, which is how I like it. They do breakfast & lunch, & do dinner at least once a month. Check it out! Title: Great Service & Homely Atmosphere I recently visited The Village Café for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning, & I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Despite the bustling atmosphere, my wife & I managed to secure seats at the bar, which she particularly enjoyed, although the seats were a bit high. The service was exceptional, as we were seated at the bar, allowing for easy beverage refills & attentive check-ins from the staff regarding our food. The food itself was excellent & arrived promptly, thanks to the efficient service. However, some of the items were not as hot as we would have preferred, particularly the potatoes & eggs. On the bright side, the bread was a standout - big, fluffy, & thoroughly enjoyable. In fact, we couldn't even finish all of it! We both opted for the rye bread & were thoroughly impressed by its quality. Despite the minor issue with the temperature of some items, I would rate our experience at The Village Café a 4.5. The homely atmosphere & top-notch service more than made up for it. It's easy to see why this place is always bustling - it's a great spot for a satisfying breakfast without any hassle. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a good breakfast spot.View more
I've been waiting for a place like this to hit the Ottawa market. It has diverse breakfast menu that makes a fav for anyone of all backgrounds. It's also gives you a traditional breakfast feel with a twist. 10/10 enjoyed every bite & likely could've stayed for a lunch haha! Kanata is lucky to have this!View more

We have been looking forward to trying The Village Cafe for breakfast & finally did, this morning. Wow, it was fantastic! The menu has lots of variety & different choices... not just the usual boring breakfast options many local breakfast restaurants offer. The food quality is top-notch, as good as homemade. Even the coffee is really good! The service was fast & very friendly, we are already looking forward to heading back there next weekend.View more

Met with a friend for breakfast. We had just finished talking about how diners are mostly the same when it comes to breakfast. Our server Jordan, brought over our omelets & wow this place steps it up. The potatoes have caramelized onions & peppers on them. The omelets were fantastic. The fruit bowl was a nice touch & who doesn't like fresh sourdough. Highly recommend.View more
I never leave reviews but this place deserves one. The Village Cafe is hands down the best breakfast around. It isn't your cheap diner breakfast but it's worth the extra money to be served by great staff & be served fresh, high quality food. You can tell the staff care about each customer that comes through the door. They make sure there's nothing you need, & you never wait for a top up of coffee, etc. The food is amazing. There are many different options to choose from that would please any type of eater. The potatoes are delicious, meals are filling, & the bread is so much better than what your typical breakfast restaurant serves. I've been twice now & will continue to make the 35 minute drive for this place. Highly recommend!View more
