Second time I went there as well as the first time I experienced crazy stomach pain couple hours later. Dont get me wrong, i eat Pho & Ramen once a week... I love spicy food but dont get it spicy there, they only add more cayenne pepper & it ruins the taste. The stomach pain was not from the cayenne anyway... try the miso broth, it's their best. The pork one is nothing to go crazy about.View more

It's love at first taste! Worth coming from Québec city to taste it & I will do it again next time I'm nearby!View more
Awful experience. Waiting time to be seated & served was 3 times what it tool us to eat our meal. Service was nice but slooooowwww. It was soooo loud! Too loud!. Cleanliness is another issue here on the floors & the bathrooms. Dissaponted.View more
Incredible ramen, great atmosphere & fast service. Gluten free options!!View more
Dropped by again after a year, & my fourth time trying their food. Good Stuff: - Service improved & they were pretty attentive. You still go up & pay at the back counter. - Ambience & music was very nice. It's not too loud & you can still enjoy your time talking to your table mates. - Chasu topping was good Bad Stuff: - Not enough broth for the amount of noodles & toppings which causes a dry noodle experience. This has been a consistent issue every time I've visited & something I have not experienced at any other restaurant. - Broth is bland & a little flavourless - Toppings were not very good, & corn had freezerburn taste - Noodles have a strong starch flavor, another issue not experienced at other ramen shops. Overall, a great spot for people who don't know what ramen should taste like or be enjoy bland food. The food is not authentic & seems to be going downhill every time I visit since 4 years ago.View more
Very good food. I can only eat veggie noodles since the meat isn't halal or kosher, but nonetheless excellent food & service. The Japanese curry is absolutely amazing!!!View more
The best Raman in the city. This is my go to for my Raman cravings so I usually order take out. I had an incident recently, where my Uber driver forgot to pick up my order along with others. This resulted in some complications which required me to call the restaurant. It wasn't even their fault but they were incredibly accommodating, even as they were about to close. They gave me a free drink with a sweet note too. Thank you to the staff for their excellent customer service & helping me resolve the issue.View more

November 2023 Food is just as good as it was years ago. Our favorite is the Vegetarian Miso ramen with tofu & egg. Only suggestion would be to replace the ramen plastic bowls that have deep scratches because bacterias can get trapped in there. Staff is friendly as always. Koichi is my favorite ramen spot in the city! 🥣💙 Update: Ordered for take-out & dine-in many times since my last review from over 2 years ago & quality is very consistent. Staff is friendly & accomodating. Just a heads-up to anyone that may not feel comfortable with the seats setup - Koichi got really popular in the last year & the place gets very busy & crowded especially on weekends (March-April 2022) - you will be sitting very very close to one another. Original: Lovely, cozy restaurant with wooden décor (found tables to be a little wobbly). Their ramen & rice infused tea were both delicious. I really love the fact that they offer different options (including vegeterian!) of broth & protein. I recommend this place!View more
Quite disappointing. The buta bara (grilled pork belly) was scorched (1st pic). When we mentioned this to the server, she didn't even acknowledge what we said & just walked away. My partner & I both ordered the kochi signature ramen. The broth was very underwhelming. No flavour & under seasoned. The toppings were cold & dry (wood ear mushroom in the 2nd pic) which made the whole broth lukewarm. We used to come here semi-frequently & it was never this bad. We asked & the store owner wasn't here today, maybe that's why but still inexcusable. Can't see us coming back. If you're looking for actually good ramen, we recently discovered jinsei ramen downtown. It's a world apart.View more
Best ramen in Ottawa. Add the black garlic oil, you won't regret it!View more

My friends & I dined at Kochi this evening around 8:30 & was compelled to share the outstanding service by the server. Despite the dinner rush, she ensured that our food arrived in a timely manner. The food was so delicious & tasty to have it. There were verity of choice for ramen. I wholeheartedly recommend dinner at Koichi. We wil be returning soon, not just for the delicious food but for the top-tier service we received.View more
