I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, & it truly deserves five stars. The ambiance was chic & inviting, the staff were attentive & knowledgeable about their extensive cocktail menu, & the drinks themselves were expertly crafted, offering a delightful burst of flavors with each sip. Wonderful experience at Back to Brooklyn! Service was phenomenal, very friendly & attentive. The food was 10/10 really enjoyed the beef tartare as an appetizer & the seafood pasta as a main! Beautiful decor, friendly service, amazing vibes! The cocktails are excellent & the food is absolutely delicious! I had the seafood pasta & my partner had the mushroom risotto. Both were cooked perfectly & full of flavour. Highly recommend for date night, or a fun night out with friends!View more
Limited menu items. Many items were not available at the time. The food was okay... average fare & definitely not a place if you're looking for a beer (only Corona & Heineken). Mostly cocktails & wine. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. The high seating is a bit awkward, & you have to watch your step.... you'll understand when you're there.View more
Went for brunch on a cold November weekend, really like their heated patio dining area. Food was great, eggs cooked perfectly with a jammy yolk👍🏼, my husband had the steak sandwich. Cocktail was good too, white wine sangria had just the right buzz for brunch. Server was attentive & friendly. Reasonable prices.View more

August 08, 2022. Just had dinner at Back to Brooklyn Ottawa with some friends. I ordered the $26.00 Brooklyn steak sandwich. It was inedible. Hardly any steak on the bread, which turned out to be a good thing because the steak was full of fat; I left it on the plate. The bread was not a brioche but Texas toast. The fries were not hot, not warm but cool. My friend also had fries with her burger which were the same cool temperature. We had to asked for ketchup, vinegar, salt & pepper for the fries. When we got the bill we were charged $2.00 for the vinegar but we're never told there was an extra charge. When I gave some feedback about my steak, to the waitress, she asked "do you want me to have it out with the chef"? I was shocked to have such an apathetic response. She continued to try to justify why there was no point to talk to the chef because the meat was already mixed together. Then I asked to have the $2.00 vinegar charge removed from my friends bill. The waitress said she could not, that there was no manager I could talk to, then said she would see what she could do. The vinegar charge was removed from the bill. Restaurant looks nice, don't waste your money & time with poor food & service.
