Had a lovely time in a beautiful environment with gracious servers attending to our table ! Thank you!
The Roasted Brussel Sprouts Caesar was terrible. The sprouts were OK, but the brocolini was so fibrous I couldn't even cut it with a knife, & even if I cut the buds of the stem, they were still chewy, overcooked & unpleasant to eat. Also the bacon was really chewy so I left it too. The poached egg was OK, but could have been runnier. I ate the sprouts & the egg & left the rest. The waitress did not check to see if everything was ok.
I rraised the matter with the waitress when she came to ask if we wanted dessert. After discussion with the chef she explained that there had been as "a preparation issue". This seemed quite evident.
I like your restaurant & I've been there on a number of occasions & brought guests, so this meal sticks out as an unpleasant anomaly, that needs correction.
Glad to to see that the restaurant was busy on a grey Sunday morning, maintaining the high standards of its food & presentation with the unique ambience of its church basement location.
The Winter Salad was amazing but the crab eggs benedict was underwhelming. While recognizing that the crab meat was replacing the trout, the flavours did not mesh.
Awesome! Highly recommend. Good value for money. The latest renovation yet another feather in your collective cap!
The service was unfortunately lacking & the food to our surprise was not great in addition to the kitchen being out of food. Working Title is often a go to place for us but we were disappointed.
Hi, it's unfortunate but I was violently ill in the middle of the night. Awful stomach aches followed by vomiting. The fish didn't taste fresh & really dried out, the butter that was with the bread was going rancid.
After being sick I felt so much better. So I know it's not a virus & was something with the food.
The creme brûlée was good & I enjoyed both beverages I had.
The ambiance is always nice & the server & other staff were polite & kind. The server did come by & ask how the food was but I had just put a bite in my mouth. Maybe I should have mentioned the butter but I just choose not to eat it. Hope you can remedy the freshness of the food. I was in hospitality so I know this is a challenging & slow time of year. I would stop in again just not eat any meat.
The restaurant was a little understaffed when the four of us had lunch. As a result, we were seated 20 minutes after we had arrived (but we were on time for our reservation). Wine arrived 20 minutes after our food was served & it was not chilled. Server forgot coffee at end of meal. Food was terrific. We love the renovations that have recently been completed.
My husband & I enjoyed dinner on Sat night: service is welcoming & friendly (though I flagged server for more wine, as the wine by the glass was better than expected). The fish & beef were very good, along with excellent roast vegetables. We had chocolate cake for dessert nicely presented with whipped cream, strawberry & edible flowers. All in all an enjoyable evening.
I'm often at your restaurant for brunch on the weekend. It seems to me it was noisier than before. So I'll give you a three for ambiance. We were sitting too close to the table next to ours.
As for service, once again, the servers were very 'cheap' with refills. In order to get a refill, you had to flag them down.
Want to mention the particularly good service. & love the ambience. Appreciate that the music was very low-key & we could actually talk to each other without having to compete with the noise. All in all a great place to celebrate a birthday.
