My husband & I went to Tropikal for date night & from the moment we walked in everything was amazing. The atmosphere & decor is fantastic, staff were friendly & the food was insane. We started with the coconut shrimp & mushroom appetizers then followed that up with the jerk chicken, griot, mac & cheese & plantain. The flavour combinations were perfect. It was a nice environment, but food portion? Is so small compared to what is being charged, I also got charged for what I didn’t eat, which I told the server a couple of times the price plantain was too soft, I liked the Rasta pasta that was served but the portion was like they were feeding kids. The drinks is also amazing, but I don’t think I will be going back because of the pricing & portion.View more

Instead of separating your mains from sides, why not put them together. For presentation purposes, it's a fantastic idea but for me personally...once it is on the plate I would eat all. With it separated, I found I left back alot of rice & plantain which was wasteful.

Trop cher pour la quantite de nourriture servi. Le stuffed plantain, c'est du plantain sucre avec de la sauce sans saveur, pas assaisonne. L'arriere salle a besoin de renovation, les carreaux sont brises.La porte des toilettes pour femme ne ferme pas.

From onset, staff were very welcoming, were sat at our table promptly. Service was professional & friendly. Server was very knowledgeable about the menu.
Food was very appealing to the palate, very delicious. Liked the concept of serving food in bowls this way we shared different items on the menu which enhanced the dining experience.
The goat & roti, shrimp, plantain , rice & calalou were to die for!!!
