Came here for the first time with some friends & it was a great time. Nick, one of the bartenders, was very polite & even on a busy night managed to get everyone a drink in a timely manner. Also held up quite a few conversations while doing so without losing focus. All of the staff I had encountered were very nice. Great place & would recommend.Voir plus

Went because I had read good things about their poutine. But it wasn't worth it - far too salty. The service staff are nice but will hurry you along even when there are heaps of empty tables. But I can't fault the atmosphere, which is perfect imo. & the prices are very reasonableVoir plus

Me & my old colleague were came in yesterday (12/07th/23) & didn't have a good time. They double charged me for 2 fries when we repeatedly mentioned we only wanted one & the staff were rude to my colleague after we had asked multiple staff members for our check which took over 20 minutes & when we finally did, I was not shown the bill, I was immediately given the payment device. Horrible customer service! Highly disappointed & I highly do not recommend this restaurant.Voir plus

We travelled from the West Coast to Ottawa & were looking for a place in the downtown core for dinner. Decided on The Brig due to the reviews & they were not wrong! We arrived at late lunch/early dinner time & ordered the fish & chips & the daily hand-formed pizza, the Pheonix. It was all excellent, hot, & prompt. Our server Maddi was attentive but didn't hover. Sometimes arriving before the usual dinner hour means a long wait time but the kitchen was fast. The fish was perfect: flaky, crispy outer batter & piping hot. Fries were crispy & hot shoestring fries. For dessert we tried the bread pudding, which had a nice crunchy top, a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream, & a drizzle of caramel without drenching the dessert, & the creme brule. One of the best I've tasted with a perfect texture. Be prepared to open your wallet a bit more for the pleasure of dining: dinner, dessert & a drink for three came to just under $140 before tips.Voir plus
The bartering staff are extremely friendly. Easy to get seated here. The food is fairly inexpensive but very good quality & great portion sizes. I like the setting....most seating was fairly cozy & private from other guests. Service is quick even on a saterday night. Overall I was quite impressed. I'd take a date here.Voir plus

Amazing food (had the short rib risotto) & excellent service! Waiter would overhear our table's conversations before approaching the table & would join in before asking about refills etc. He also noticed a member of our party was sharing her plate of wings with a few others at the table, & he brought over extra napkins & wet wipes without being asked. Very intuitive & great service overall.

Ashley was an amazing server, very attentive & friendly. The food was delicious, especially the cauliflower appetizer, I'd come again just for that. The chicken burger, although it sounds plain, was incredible. 10/10 would highly recommend.Voir plus
