I saw a review for this restaurant in the Capital Eats newsletter & decided to give it a try. It is now our household's hands-down favourite shawarma place. Our personal favourites: - the beef platter (the beef is INSANELY GOOD) - the chicken Fattoush salad (my husband & I thought we had a favourite Fattoush place, but Shawarma Chef blew them away)! Everything seems fresh & homemade, & is so flavourful. It might be slightly pricier than some of the other shawarma chains in town, but for good reason! Hats off to the people I've encountered at Shawarma Chef on 10th line. Friendly seems an understatement because this group of superb humans goes above to treat customers with kindness & warmth. I think they genuinely care to get to know people who frequent the restaurant. The food is always good & I love the innovative twists to traditional shawarma dishes & sandwiches. Tried their mixed plate shawarma for the first time a couple of weeks ago, it is not officially my favorite shawarma spot, love the pomegranate sauce they put on the meat, also the salad was the best I ever had at any shawarma place. Highly recommend, amazing food!Voir plus

This place made my week. Super cool shop. Super cool vibes. Just cool people making cool food. You can tell they love what they do & it shows. Asked the owner for whatever he wanted me to try, with out hesitation he hit me with a house chicken sandwich as long as I had it just how they have it in Lebanon. It was the single best meal ive had in a month. Its not slapped together, if that makes sense. All the ingredients are 100 percent fresh & like well organized & displayed. My new Shaw Shop. Sesame on a shawarma sandwich?
Definitely a new concept but an amazing one. The flavor & the taste of their shawarma sandwiches stand out as one of the best shawarma places around the Ottawa area (& probably in Canada so far).
I wish them the best of luck so they can open more locations as this is a place you wouldn't wanna miss trying out if you're looking for a great shawarma spot.Voir plus
