One expects 5 stars across board when prices & reviews above avg. When we were there, when less than busy, having observed two tables ask for more water was less than impressive. Reminding staff on another item also not pleasing. Food good tho not wowish & would recommend an appetizer or eating some of the in house bread if ordering a less substantial main. View great. After visiting countless venues, I finally found the perfect restaurant to host my private party! I rented the entire penthouse which seated approximately 70 guests comfortably. The service was excellent, the views were stunning & the food was phenomenal! I would also like to mention Shannon & Ryan, owners, hosts & chef of Le St-Laurent who, both were extremely accommodating, flexible & provided invaluable guidance, showing patience throughout my planning phase. Chic restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Ignoring bugs on outside of windows one has no control over & double paned glass reflections - the views are nice. Food (fries) a bit over salted IMO & service okay (meaning top notch for Ottawa, but below a cruise ship level). Would return if someone else was paying :)Voir plus
Great experience. At first we were given a table with a window view that was 3/4 covered by a non-functional blind. It really defeats the purpose of trying this restaurant that takes pride of it's penthouse view of the sunset at dinner time. We had to ask to change table & were then given a table with a full window view... just in time to catch a beautiful sunset! The service & food that came after were wonderful. Josh looked after us & we appreciated his attentiveness (10/10, Josh!). Thank you to the entire staff for a great dinner & wonderful evening for me & my wife. Bravo, Le St Lauent!Voir plus
The food was delicious, our server was super nice & helpful, & the atmosphere was beautiful. We had an amazing view of the sun set & the seating is spaced out enough that it doesn't ever feel crowded our too loud. It was a lovely experience. Highly recommend!

My family & I came here for a dinner. I ordered a duck confit, & was blown away by the rich, complex flavours & the variety in texture the plate had to offer with its complimentary sides.
Very friendly staff, very nice ambience. More people need to know of this place. A must try for anyone in the Ottawa valley.
