Probably the best Italian food in town, consistently excellent . Service is however uneven and not in line with the quality and atmosphere intended. I have been there several times and return for the food.
We had a wonderful experience. My friend had the special frittata, I had the eggplant parmigiana. Both were excellent! We asked for some bread, and the server brought some warm, with oil. It was delicious. I forgot to notice if it appeared on the bill. But we appreciated the extra effort of the server and the kitchen.
Please fix the spelling mistake on the dessert menu - it's mousse, not mouse.

Really lovely dinner, enjoyed by everyone! The soup of the day was a very clever blending of flavours and beautifully presented. For the pasta al funghi, the homemade pasta was perfectly cooked, and the exotic mushrooms very delicious. For the main, I had the beef cheek, which was succulently tender, and beautifully garnished with vegetables - Brussels sprouts, parsnip chips, and sunchoke puree. Another member of the party had the scallops, which she rated as "delicious and perfectly cooked". The third person had the lamb ragout pasta, and said it was the most delicious sauce! We also shared three desserts, which were also lovely, particularly the lemon curd tart. Top-notch all around!

Après avoir bravé la tempête, nous avons grandement apprécié notre visite chez Orto! Tout y était: décor, ambiance service et cuisine succulente et inventive...nous reviendrons, c'est assuré!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Orto. We each had a different starter ... warm olives, mushroom and turnip soup, rice croquette and beef tartare. All were very good. We each had different mains as well.... grilled octopus, fettuccini with mushrooms, tortello with pecorino and pear and I had the rigatoni with lamb ragu... which was absolutely delicious! Portion sizes were perfect. Our dessert choices were chocolate mousse and lemon curd with meringue... both very good. The service from Virginia was superb and the wine choice was also excellent. Our compliments to Chef Christian. We will be back!
Lovely meal with very good service. The beef tartar was perfect, the freshly made pasta was excellent and the grilled octopus was outstanding. We'll be back again!
The restaurant is much different than it was before. Food has changed and some items on the menu were no being offered. Service was good but could be a bit better considering there were only 3 tables of people at the restaurant. Food is so different, I miss the old chef.
