This is one of the best kept secrets in Ottawa. Great food at an extremely reasonable price. Great breakfast place. Anytime there is a lineup to get in before it being open is a sign it is the place to be! Highly recommended. Old bar-like setting while warm & comfortable at the same time. I did a double take when I saw the prices on the menu & had to check I hadn't gone back in time 20 years. Mains for $13 or under? Appetizers under $10? In this economy? I thought I was going to have to be on dish duty in the kitchen afterwards to make up the difference, but no, you can stop pinching yourself. It's not a dream. It's The Third on Wellington. You will be back, as soon as you try this lovely place you fall in love. Great flavourful food, prices are more than fair & the staff is so friendly. I've heard from numerous friends how great the breakfast is, & will be trying that next. Amazing food with even better prices! With the costs of everything on the rise, it's nice to see a decent price on a menu! The staff were great & friendly. The portions are just what you'd want for a meal. I'd recommend the patty melt or the chicken sandwich! Be sure to get there early as it fills up quick on the weekend!Voir plus

Where do I begin!? EVERYTHING here is fabulous! From the portions (not a plate full of frozen, fried potato chunks! to the homemade freshness of everything they make, to the playlist (70's Soul Classics! last time), to the way they top your coffee up, & don't forget thier amazing & friendly staff. Damn! I can't say enough! (Shhhhh....TBH, I thought about not posting this just so I can still get a spot when I go!) But, it's the wait to get in even IF there's a lineup! I called & ordered take away. I had the club sandwich & fries, which is the same order from my first visit a couple of months ago. The fries had too much salt on them both times, but the club sandwich is very good. I like the reasonable prices & the selection of food available.
