pastries(12) bread(11) breakfast(9) pizza(9) coffee(9) brunch(7) busy(6) chicken(6) sandwich(6)The quality & taste of the food is great! The white sourdough tastes great but is a bit expensive. I found the food & pastries a bit overpriced. Awesome atmosphere & free parking for up to 90 minutes.Voir plus
We purchased two frozen items for the holiday season; the Tortiere with beef brisket, cheese curds & mashed potatoes & the Turkey Pot Pie. Each pie was $40. The tortiere was absolutely delicious. The turkey pot pie was a huge disappointment-uniform cubes of "spongy" turkey, gravy that was watery, & flavourless. I guess "one out of two ain't bad". We are huge fans of Art-as-in-Bakery, but either take the Turkey Pot Pie off the menu, or redo it to your usual high standard.Voir plus
Food is good, really good - however a bit pricey for what you get. Service is a bit odd, some staff is super friendly & some are not at all & will completely ignore you when you walk in. Clearly I don't go there often & do not know the weird self-serve, pick up & seat yourself nonsense. Again the ladies at the counter were nice & friendly, the food was good but I got turned off when we walked in & were completely ignored by the 2 (I think they were waitresses) tht kept on walking past us & another couple that walked in a few minutes afterwards. Anyways, I would go back for the food (& drinks) but not that much for the service.Voir plus
Great spot to try for pastries, pizza, & breakfast Service always seems slow when I have been here. There is a line for dine-in & takeaway. The pastries are rich in butter. The cronut is my favourite pastry from here. The others are a bit too hard/crunchy for my liking. Staff can be a hit or miss. Overall, I think their hospitality can improve. Some of the hosts don't greet customers warmly, & they do the bare minimum. For the price of food, I think there is also room for improvement on the wait staff. There is a creative selection of brunch items. Pizza is pretty great. Toppings slide off the thin crust, which is how I think pizza should be. I love the sourdough sesame crust.Voir plus
The food & service are always the top notch. I've loved every item I've tried so far. Their bacon is my favourite! Great place for brunch outside in the summertime.Voir plus
Very nice bakery with delicious pastries & coffee! Can't wait to try it the summer with the terrace & nice weather. I did find the egg benedict a bit average (too salty). I will definitely go back for the pastries!Voir plus
First thoughts: 1. Very busy location with many tasty options 2. Bakery looks very popular here After some time: 1. Bakery items are very well done & taste good....especially drooling over that cinnamon bun 2. Quite busy...takes a while to order 3. Pretty expensive Ending: 1. Food wasn't bad, pretty average breakfastVoir plus
I have stopped frequenting their stand farmers market in due to them asking for tips. Handing me bread is not tip worthy & specifically asking for tips has tubbed me the wrong way.Voir plus
Always fresh & delicious, the coffee & doughnuts so good!!! When is a busy hour it is a very crowded place.Voir plus
I came here for Sunday brunch with my friends. An unsuspecting place as it seems to be in an old shipping warehouse! It was very busy but tables moved quickly & you could also do takeout. The menu had some great options & the pastries looked amazing. Food was fabulous but expensive! Probably the most expensive brunch I've ever done but I would go back!Voir plus
Visited the coffee shop this morning & tried their croissants & hot chocolate. While the croissants didn't seem very fresh, the almond one stood out with its tasty flavor. However, the hot chocolate fell short of expectations & wasn't as flavorful as anticipated. Overall, a mixed experience.Voir plus
A must visit when in Ottawa! From my fall trip to Ottawa/Gatineau back in October, it was a coincidence that this spot was right in the neighborhood of where my friend was staying at! I am glad I made the pit stop for this bakery as I wish I had visited back in my university days at Carleton U! Known for their pastries & brunch menu, Art-Is-In Bakery always focuses on quality & rustic charm in all their menu items from their croissants to Eggs Benedict! I can't wait to go back again!Voir plus
Went on a Sunday around 11am. Super packed. Everyone was so nice (employees & guests!), food was delicious!Voir plus
Amazing food, great service. Very enjoyable evening!Voir plus
The chocolate croissant & the rosemary bread are delights. MmmVoir plus
I had the hot honey chicken burger & it was absolutely insane. Possibly the juciest & most tender chicken burger I've had. The brioche burger bun was also incredibly fresh & soft. This might be one of the best chicken burgers in the city. I was disappointed by the fries however. I was excited because they are fried in beef tallow, however, the fries tasted old & stale. Dreadful. I tried a cookie & coffee, & it was pretty good. Overall, the food is pretty good here. It is pricey indeed, but it appears they make pretty much everything in-house. Even the ketchup tasted made in houseVoir plus
My kind of place. Everything is made in-house, the staff are friendly & efficient, & the food is excellent, if a tad pricey for an order-at-the-counter bakery. Would not hesitate to go back!Voir plus
Old style restaurant with amazing atmosphere. It took us a lot to wait at the entrance with other customer who was confuse like us. The chowder soup was my favorite. Loved it. The pizza is overrated though.Voir plus
