Can't say enough wonderful things about this establishment. The staff are very friendly & attentive. It was our first time dining here & it was for a birthday: The staff went above & beyond. I can't thank you enough, & the birthday person had an amazing evening. The gratuity included in the pricing is a wonderful standard. I wish more establishments would do the same. For anyone who is asking: the washrooms are extremely clean, individual rooms... mentioning this as a family member has IBS & always is uncomfortable in public. We will be back!View more
It's the best restaurant in Ottawa. The food was excellent, & I love how you can see the open kitchen. The services were all nice & so lovely. The restaurant was clean & organized. I love how the service is all included, & you don't need to tip. I would recommend people who are coming to Ottawa. & I would love to go back & visit soon!View more
A very pleasant dinner experience. Staff were well dressed, prompt, & highly professional. Additionally, knowing that Aiana pays a living wage & includes gratuities is refreshing. The food & cocktails were excellent. To complement this, the wait staff had a thorough knowledge of wine which came in handy when pairing with my main course. We also appreciated the amuse-bouches which came both before & after the main event. All in all I will without a doubt return to this unique restaurant!View more
Aiana was an excellent experience, & has been on our list for Chefs tasting menu. We'd rank this one higher on our list for sure, & the food was excellent. The ambiance, staff, & cocktails were all suburb, & we really did enjoy our time. I would say the food was the star of the show, with the Truffle Soup being on of our favourite dishes we've had at a restaurant, & the pasta dish with a serving a caviar being a close second. We would highly recommend the meal for anyone, with the understanding that it is an expensive experience.View more

The food description on the menu does not describe the food correctly. For example the crab salad is a mousse in a sherry glass & the truffle mushroom appetizer is actually a cream soup. The cod for 50.00 is battered like fish & chips. & much to our shock for such prices the scallop was way over salted. But the side veggies were amazing. Very beautiful atmosphere but i will not go back. & of course the portions are very small as are in all fancy restaurants.View more
A quick lunch turned into an experience! Being a late lunch we got in on time for Social hour, when drinks are on special. At that time of the day its Bar menu that is served. We had Croissant burger with Wagyu, a Maritime lobster/crab roll & a poutine with truffle. DELICIOUS. Oh & the service / tip is included in the price. We will return, i highly recommendView more
Aiana offers a very high quality dining & drinking experience. I had a difficult time deciding between menu items as everything sounded incredible, but was thankfully in a situation where I was able to taste a wide variety of dishes, wines, & cocktails throughout the evening. The service was excellent from start to finish & for the most part the interior design was very well thought out, but we did note that the HVAC system was considerably too loud along the back wall of the restaurant, to the point where we decided to change tables. The washrooms were among the nicest I've ever had the pleasure of using in a public setting.View more

Last month, visited Aiana Restaurant with some friends. Wonderful ambience with delicious food. Service is good though there is some room for improvement. All in all, a good experience. Hope to visit the restaurant again soon.View more
Excellent food ! Chef raghav is excellent curator of the dishes ! Loved all the food, specially the bread & soup in the starter the entree's scallops, salmon was delicious. Dessert was out of the world ! Definitely coming again to try some of the other things on the menu !View more

We took the set menu, which only had one service option at 18:30, I think it’s early but that is just me. The food was good, great tasting & beautiful presentation. I think it’s a little overpriced for what you get but with the food being so expensive right now & the fact that service is included, I think it’s just fair. The service is where I was the most disappointed, although it was a professional server he did not seem very experienced & attentive. Little description were provided for the dishes, most were served with a comment such as “oh this one is one of the best” & he walked away. This several course Chef’s tasting menu is supposed to be an experience but there was a lot missing to make it a great experience. The server even took away a half-full bottle of wine thinking we were done drinking it but he had the bottle so far making it impossible to serve ourselves & he never came around to refill our glass. I think the worst part of it all is when our server (who was also the host) sat a couple on the table right beside us. Both tables only had a couple of inches of separation. The dining room was empty, they had plenty of lovely options to seat them in a more private location, it would have been great for all of us. This rather killed the mood of our evening as they were definitely on a firs date & we were three guys celebrating the departure of our friend. Very different topics discussed at the tables. Bottom line, they’re trying to sell a 5-star menu experience but they need to work on their experience part. People don’t go spend over $1000 of 3 people to have just an average night. My last comment is about the chef, where was the chef? All the chef’s tasting menu I have been before the chef introduced themself at some point. We were definitely disappointed with the whole night & I close with its not worth the money you will spend there.View more
Beautiful ambiance, OK food (mixed reactions at the table, but do try the "Truffle", it is a fine soup that is probably worth a revisit), confusing service. Disorganized seems to be a fair way to describe our party's experience. Hope it was just an off-night, given the lovely reviews from a lot of other diners. Happy to know that the establishment is a Living Wage Employer, but it also felt like we received underwhelming service & there was no incentive for any of our servers to make our dining experience any more special than a place that serves meals at half the cost or less. I am a little disappointed that it spoiled the overall experience.View more
Excellent service & nice atmosphere.
The croquettes & the frisée salad were a bit unidimensional. Couldn’t taste the foie gras in the croquettes. The scallops & the mushroom toast were good.
3 stars feels too harsh so I’m putting 4, but I’d want to visit other places in Ottawa before coming back.View more
