I'm surprised by the 1* reviewer's experience with Sesame. I get take out there a couple of times a week and never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh, good, the service friendly and fast. They are also concerned about food allergies and always ask when you place your order. I happen to be allergic to gluten and eggs, and never had a problem.
As for putting meat in a vegetarian's dishes, that is also surprising since most dishes start out vegetarian and you actually have to specify chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu if you want to add a protein.
I don't often leave online reviews, but I thought the one-star rating was doing a disservice to one of the best, and healthiest, fast food restaurant around. Take it from a steady customer who has never had a bad experience, Sesame is worth a try.
Very bad customer service and the management is clearly delusional about people's integrity. These restaurants are dime a dozen and they don't understand good customer service keeps them from going under.
Ordered food and was very specific about our vegetarian needs. My son drove to pick it up from Chelsea. When he returned with the food, the food had meat. At which point I threw the food out because we have never had meat in the house and I was grossed out by it. Called them and told them what had happened and they said 15 mins and they will have the proper order ready. My son gets there and the manager tells him they are not going to do anything about it. I called back and the manger blames me ( the customer) and says I didn't order vegetarian ( even though I had visiters in the house , who heard the whole convo)bring the food back and to which I said it is in the garbage and I have no problems picking it up and sending it back to them. To which the manager replies and says we can't help you. WOW!!!!!
I know way too many people in the area and will be making sure this story is heard. It is a matter of principle. All of my friends and acquaintances are aware we've been vegetarians thus far and wouldn't appreciate this kind of customer service.
Have travelled the world and have never had such a horrible experience!
Well, atleast we learned something today. We learned that there are enough restaurants in town that are reputable and have good food and I would rather pay more to get what I want and grow a business with integrity!
