We hadn't been before & were excited to go. We were quickly seated, our server (Jo) was great & checked on us often. But the food was terrible. The buttermilk fried chicken was indeed fried but not buttermilk & not worth ordering. It was cooked well past done. The veggies were really good (beans & peppers). The ribs were so dry that there was no chance of them falling off the bone. Ever. Under any circumstances. I'm really glad that I went because I was curious. I feel like our server did a great job & there wasn't anything she could do. The food quality just isn't what I was hoping for but I think it's a "you get what you pay for" situation.Voir plus

Always love eating here. The pulled pork nachos are very delicious with generous portions of meat. Server could come by more often to check on drink refills & so many birthdays with the staff shouting & blowing a horn wasn't the ideal atmosphere but still fun.Voir plus

Montana's is known for its ribs & streak but wanted to try their burger. The brisket burger caught my eye & decided to try it. It was very juicy & tender. Our server was so friendly too.Voir plus
It was terrible steak I ever had. Appetizers was ok. Wine glass wasn't clean at all. But ambience was very nice. I think this location has to improve their meat quality.Voir plus
Thank you so much to the staff of Montana's on Merivale for such incredible service tonight. We were ten people there for my daughter's 2nd birthday. They were friendly, helpful & accommodating. I was so impressed. You guys are great!Voir plus
Disappointing experience & I hope it was a one-off given we came on a Saturday evening (not that it was very busy - lots of empty seats within the dining area) We ordered the chicken tenders, fried pickles & a two-piece fish & chip meal... the fried pickles were wonderful, but our waitress (tried to be attentive, but wasn't) didn't submit our order correctly & we only got a 1-piece fish & chip. We asked for the second piece & had to remind her multiple times throughout our meal that it still hadn't come. The 2nd piece was finally brought over to us when we finished our meals. The food portions for the chicken tender was outrageous - I would highly not recommend it as the chicken I got was TINY, tough & felt over-fried or old. (Keep in mind this meal is $20 & the tender looked like it was meant for a child's plate) Between the frustration trying to get the correct food order & the poorly sized food portions, I would not recommend this restaurantVoir plus
